Prof. Eiji Nawata
Prof. Eiji Nawata is the former Dean of the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University
and President of the Japanese Society of Tropical Agriculture. Prof Nawata’s major field is
tropical agriculture. He covers diverse fields related to agriculture and agricultural
environment in the tropics, including ecophysiology of tropical crops, cropping system
analysis, and crop evolution.
Prof. Luo Pingping
Prof. Pingping Luo is a full professor in School of Water and Environment, Chang’an University. He was graduated from Disaster Prevention Research Institute(DPRI), Kyoto University in 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Kaoru Takara. He did postdoc researcher in DPRI, Kyoto University and IAS, Unitied Nations University from 2012 to 2016. Prof. Luo was appointed as full professor in Chang’an University from 2016. He has published more than 70 papers and 6 book chapters. He have hold 25 research project including the international joint project and international student tranning project as well as national projects.
He have received 5 awards from provincalsciety and national society as well as international conferences. He have cooperated with more than 30 foreigner professors from Kyoto University, McGill University, UC Davis, USM, UTM, UC Merced, and so on. His major is focused on Hydrological modelling, Flood disaster, Water resource management and Environmental Engineering.
Amanda Pomeroy-stevent
Amanda Pomeroy-Stevens is testing healthy urban planning approaches in rapidly growing cities across Southeast Asia. She has 16 years of experience in applied research and evaluation, with expertise in evaluation of complex systems. After joining JSI in 2010, Amanda led research studies on systems strengthening, nutrition financing, economic evaluation, and non-communicable diseases for the JSI Center for Health Information, Monitoring, and Evaluation and the Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition Globally project. Amanda has an MS in applied economics from Cornell University.
